City Offices Closed for Memorial Day on May 26

City of Hendersonville Office Closure and Collection Information 

City offices will be closed on Monday, May 26, 2025, in observance of Memorial Day. There will be no collection of garbage, recycling, or brush. 

Collection for Monday customers will be delayed by one week with collection resuming on Monday, June 2, 2025. Holiday collection schedules are available on the City’s website at https://www.hendersonvillenc.gov/public-works/garbage-collection   

For water/sewer issues occurring on holidays, please use the afterhours number at (828) 891-7779. 

Garden Jubilee Street Closure Information 

On Saturday, May 24th and Sunday, May 25th Garden Jubilee will be held in downtown Hendersonville. This event includes street closures which will begin on Friday, May 23rd at 3:00 PM. Main Street will be closed to traffic at that time between Barnwell and 6th Avenue. This portion of Main Street will be closed through Sunday, May 26th at approximately 8pm. City of Hendersonville Public Works will reopen the street following cleaning that evening. 

Pets are not permitted at this event, and attendees are asked to leave animals comfortably at home. 

For information on parking in downtown Hendersonville visit www.hvlnc.gov/parking. Parking is available in city surface lots and the parking deck on 5th Avenue West. During the Garden Jubilee festival, the City Parking Deck will operate with a special event rate of $10. The City Hall lot at 160 6th Avenue East is designated as handicapped parking for festival attendees.
