On-Street Parking

There are more than 220 on-street metered spaces in Downtown Hendersonville within the Main Street Municipal Services District (Main Street and the Avenues between the boundaries of Church and King streets and between Allen Street and 7th Avenue.)

On-Street Hourly Parking Rate:

  • First half-hour: Free!
  • Each additional hour: $2.00
  • No daily maximum

Payment options include:

  • ParkMobile app 
  • At parking kiosks located along Main Street. The kiosks accept all major credit cards as well as US coins and dollars ($1, $5, and $10's). The kiosks do not provide change for overpayment.

Always check-in via the ParkMobile App or kiosk – even if you only plan to stay a short time.

Free on-street parking is also available a short walk beyond the boundaries of the Municipal Services District.

Parking Deck

The City of Hendersonville Parking Deck is conveniently located on the corner of 5th Avenue and N. Church Street directly across from the Public Restrooms and a few steps from beautiful Main Street. The four-level, 253-space structure offers four EV charging stations, handicapped parking, and offers parking for hourly parking and permitted parking.

Parking Deck Hourly Rate:

  • First hour: Free!
  • Each additional hour: $1.50
  • Daily maximum: $10.00
  • Lost ticket fee: $20.00

Hourly pay-by-plate payment options include:

  • From your vehicle using a credit card at payment kiosks located at the exit lanes
  • ParkMobile app
  • At the walk-up kiosk located at the first-floor main tower before returning to a vehicle. The kiosk accepts all major credit cards as well as US coins and dollars ($1, $5, and $10's). The kiosk does not provide change for overpayment.

City Parking Lots

The following city parking lots are available for hourly / daily parking:

Azalea Lot (70213) - Between 3rd & 4th Avenue East *One electric vehicle charging station
Maple Lot (70212) - 5th Avenue East
Spruce Lot - 4th Avenue East

Free Parking in City Lots

Free Parking in metered City lots on Sundays and City Holidays.

Free parking on Sundays in the Dogwood Lot - Off Church Street between 4th & 5th Avenue West.
Monday – Saturday the Dogwood Lot is reserved for monthly permit holders.

Free parking in the City Hall Lot located at 160 6th Avenue is available outside of business hours. The City Hall Lot is reserved for City employees and members of the public conducting business at City Hall Monday – Friday from 7 AM – 6 PM.

Accessible Parking

The City of Hendersonville provides metered parking options for people with disabilities. Vehicles displaying a valid NC or other state-issued disability license plate or disability placard may park in spaces designated for people with disabilities.

The vehicle should be driven by or be transporting the person whose name appears on the license plate registration certificate or placard certificate. The placard must be clearly visible – either hanging from the rearview mirror or lying face-up on the dashboard.

Please note that this does not apply to spaces where public parking is prohibited. Examples include loading zones; spaces where parking is prohibited during events; etc.

The first hour of parking in the City Parking Deck is always free, no matter the day or time.

First hour, Evenings and Sundays Free Parking in City Lots
Those who come downtown to shop, dine, do business and enjoy entertainment can park for free before 9 AM, after 7 PM and anytime on Sundays and City Holidays. During enforcement hours (Monday – Saturday 9AM-7PM) the first hour is free in City Lots. Be sure to check in on the ParkMobile App or Kiosk when you first arrive.

First half-hour, Evenings and Sundays Free in On-Street Metered Parking

EV Charging

To encourage and support the use of low-emission vehicles, the City has installed electric vehicle charging stations in many of its parking facilities. While there is no cost to use the chargers (beyond the regular parking rates), there is a three-hour limit per day.

2 Pay-to-Use EV Charging Stations are also available in Patton Park at 114 E. Clairmont Drive.
