BID - Request for Bids – 425 4th Ave. W. Stormwater Drainage Repair Project

The City of Hendersonville, North Carolina (City) is requesting Bids from licensed contractors interested in performing stormwater drainage infrastructure improvements at 425 4th Ave. West in Hendersonville, NC.

The proposed project is a repair/replacement of failing stormwater drainage infrastructure on the property located at 425 4th Ave. West, Hendersonville, NC. The total estimated project budget for construction and close-out is $40,000.

Bids must be sent in PDF format and emailed to mhuffman@hvlnc.gov  by 9:00 am . Eastern Time (EST) on April 30th , 2021. PDF files must contain the signatures of company representatives who are authorized to execute documents on behalf of the firm. Bids received after the deadline will not be considered. The City reserves the right to reject any and all proposals received and to waive minor informalities. Incomplete proposal responses will not be considered. RFQ- Request for Statement of Qualifications - Construction Manager at Risk Services (Fire Station #1 and Park Project) 

The City of Hendersonville, North Carolina (City) is requesting written qualifications from professional construction firms interested in providing construction manager at risk services for a fire station 1 and park project in downtown Hendersonville. Firms responding to this request for qualifications (RFQ) may partner with other firms or subcontractors as a team; however, qualification information must be provided for all construction management firms and subcontractors.

The proposed project is an approximately 18,200 square foot facility to be constructed on an existing 1.67 lot located at 851 N. Main Street in Hendersonville, NC.  The location for park amenities to be relocated is to be determined, within a 3-mile radius of the existing park facilities. The total estimated project budget for design, site demolition, surveying and geotechnical services, permitting, materials, construction, and close-out is $8,500,000.

PDF files must contain the signatures of company representatives who are authorized to execute documents on behalf of the firm. RFQ - Environmental Services to Support the City of Hendersonville Mud Creek Interceptor Replacement Project

RFQ - Environmental Services

The City intends to contract with one qualified firm to provide environmental services to support the proposed Mud Creek Interceptor Replacement project. The Mud Creek Interceptor Replacement Project will replace approximately 10,600 linear feet of existing 24-inch and 12-inch diameter gravity sewer main with 36-inch and 24-inch sewer main along Mud Creek. The assumed project corridor limits consist of a 60‐foot wide corridor (approximately 14 acres). The anticipated construction start date is mid-2022.

 The scope of services includes, but is not limited to:

• Threatened and Endangered Species Survey,
• Water of the United States Determination—preliminary jurisdictional determination (PJD) of stream and wetlands,
• 404/401 permitting, and
• Floodplain permitting and modeling (if modeling is required).

SOQs shall be submitted in PDF format via e-mail. RFQ - Professional Design Services Downtown Parking Deck Project

The City of Hendersonville, North Carolina (City) is requesting written qualifications from professional design firms interested in providing design and permitting services for a parking deck project in downtown Hendersonville. Firms responding to this request for qualifications (RFQ) may partner with other firms or subcontractors as a design team; however, qualification information must be provided for all design team firms and subcontractors.

The proposed project is an approximate 300-space Downtown Parking Deck to be constructed on 0.7 acres located at the intersections of North Church Street, 5th Avenue West, and Wall Street Alley in Hendersonville, NC.  The area previously consisted of several commercial businesses and surface parking.

PDF files must contain the signatures of company representatives who are authorized to execute documents on behalf of the firm. RFP - 7th Avenue Branding

The City of Hendersonville Community Development Department desires to establish a new logo to be utilized in marketing and building a stronger awareness of the unique qualities of the 7th Avenue District. The department is seeking a qualified design firm that can utilize a collaborative process with integrated community engagement that identifies a brand for the 7th avenue district within the context of existing downtown branding.

Questions may be emailed to Jamie Carpenter, Downtown Manager at jcarpenter@hvlnc.gov until May 14 2021. All questions will be answered by the end of day May 18, 2021.

Proposals are due in electronic format to jcarpenter@hvlnc.gov by 5pm on May 21, 2021. Proposals will be reviewed by the downtown Community Character Team and Staff on June 1 and final proposals will be voted on by the Downtown Advisory Board June 8, 2021.

Public input should take place between July and September 2021, with a draft due to Downtown Program Staff in September with a final target project completion by October 8.
