Gen H Comp Plan Adoption Schedule & Final Public Input

Below is the schedule for final public feedback opportunities and Gen H Comprehensive Plan adoption by the Hendersonville City Council. 

PLAN ADOPTION SCHEDULE

May 22 - City Council Workshop (4pm at 305 Williams St)

  • City Council + Planning Board will receive a presentation on the final draft of the GenH Comp Plan.

June 1 - June 17 - Survey Launch

  • Launch of online survey to receive community feedback on the draft plan. The input will be gathered and provided to City staff and the consultant team for review. Take the survey before June 17!

June 24 - Hendersonville Planning Board Meeting + Public Comment (4pm at 305 Williams St)

  • Planning Board will receive a presentation on the plan. Community members may sign up to speak to provide public comments to the Planning Board. The Planning Board will consider the public feedback to date, discuss the draft and vote on recommendations to pass along to City Council.

July 10 - City Council Meeting + Public Hearing (5:45pm at 305 Williams St)

  • City Councill will receive a presentation on the plan. Community members may sign up to speak at the public hearing to provide public comments to the City Council. Options to speak in person, via Zoom, or pre-submitted digital public comments are all participation options. The City Council will consider the public feedback to date, discuss the draft and give direction on needed revisions.

July 11 - July 31 - Revised Final Draft

  • Consultant team will make revisions to the draft plan based on feedback from the public, City staff, boards/commissions, and City Council.

August 1 - Plan Adoption 

  • City Council adopts the revised final draft of the GenH Comprehensive Plan.
