Turkey Trot 5k to Benefit Hope Coalition
The City of Hendersonville's Turkey Trot 5k race is now being managed in partnership with the local non-profit Hope Coalition!
Start your Thanksgiving morning with a fun-filled dash through downtown Hendersonville for the 13th annual Turkey Trot 5k. Whether you’re a seasoned runner, a casual walker, or just in it for the costumes, this race is for all!
The race kicks off at 8:30 AM on November 27th. Beginning at the First Citizens Plaza on Main Street, you will trot through charming downtown Hendersonville and loop back around to the Plaza. Runners and walkers should plan to be off the course by 10:30 AM, leaving plenty of time for the feasting! The race goes on rain, shine, or snow, so dress for the weather, and let’s make it memorable! This is not your typical race. It’s all about the fun! Show us your best turkey, pilgrim, or pumpkin getup. Fun prizes will be awarded for Fastest Male, Fastest Female, Best Costume, Best Pet Costume, and Farthest Traveled.
Volunteers may also sign up on the Hope Coalition website and receive a free Turkey Trot Tee. Registered volunteers should send their shirt size request to jhuneycutt@elementsofhope.org
