The Oakdale Ramble – Unveil the stories of Oakdale Cemetery with a New Self-Guided Tour and a Scavenger Hunt for Kids
The City of Hendersonville’s Historic Preservation Commission invites the community to a first-of-its-kind event at Oakdale Cemetery on Saturday, October 25, 2025.
Visitors are welcome to drop by anytime between 1:00 and 5:00 PM to explore the newly launched, self-guided tour of Oakdale Cemetery. As you ramble through Hendersonville’s most iconic cemetery, local historians and cemetery experts will be on hand to share stories and answer questions. Families are encouraged to bring children, who can join in a special scavenger hunt designed just for them – making history engaging, interactive, and fun!

Where: Oakdale Cemetery (located at Highway 64 W and Valley Street)
On-street parking is available along Valley Street.
