Main Street will shine bright as Santa makes his Grand Arrival on November 28

Holiday tree lit up on the Historic Courthouse Plaza

(November 19, 2025) – Holiday magic will illuminate Main Street on Friday, November 28 as Santa Claus makes his grand entrance for the annual Tree Lighting at the Historic Courthouse Plaza. Watch the night sky and follow the sweeping lights to catch his arrival.  

 The air will be filled with excitement and holiday cheer at the Historic Courthouse Plaza. Festivities begin at 5pm with the lively sounds of Drayton & The Dreamboats. Santa is expected to arrive just before 6pm to lead the countdown, followed by the lighting of the Christmas Tree and Main Street at 6pm.  

Following the Tree Lighting, the festivities continue with visits with Santa inside the Historic Courthouse and complimentary carriage rides provided by Carolina Horse and Carriage. Both activities will be available until 8pm, offering families plenty of time to enjoy the evening. 

To complete the holiday experience, warm up with hot cocoa, hot cider, and an assortment of sweet treats available for purchase from A Wild Moose Cafe, Black Bear Coffee and Mini Batch Bakery.
