Patton Pool and Whitmire Activity Center
Milestone timeline:
Patton Pool and the Whitmire Activity Center were both damaged during Hurricane Helene. They cannot reopen without major renovation or rebuilding. City staff are working through the process with insurance and FEMA. The Hendersonville City Council sees this as an opportunity to hear from the community, evaluate local needs, and plan for something even better.
The City enlisted the help of CPL architects to assist with the community engagement and design process to rebuild the facilities. Stakeholder meetings, community input sessions, and an online survey were completed in the Spring and Summer of 2025 with conceptual designs presented in Fall of 2025.
