4th of July Celebration, Parade, and Special America 250th Evening Farmers Market Street Closure Information

4th of July Parade Street Closure Information: 

On Saturday, July 4, the 4th of July Parade will take place in downtown Hendersonville at 10:30 AM. The parade viewing area extends along Main Street from 5 points to Kanuga/Caswell. Spectators are requested to refrain from watching the parade south of Caswell, as this section is designated for float departure.  

To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone, this family-oriented event encourages guests to leave pets at home and refrain from operating drones. 

Parade Street Closures: 

Parade staging will occur on Oakland Street from Asheville Hwy to 6th Avenue West and along Bearcat Blvd in front of Hendersonville High School. The southbound land of Asheville Hwy will also be used for staging after 9:45 AM when the detour route begins. Participants are encouraged to visit the Hendersonville Merchants and Business Association website for additional information at www.nchmba.com/  

Parade Detours: 

  • Motorists approaching the parade area will be directed to a detour route.
  • Southbound traffic traveling towards downtown on Asheville Hwy (US-25) will be diverted to Fleming St for Hwy 64 W and Church St connections.
  • Westbound traffic on Hwy 64 will be directed to 7th Avenue and Maple, or Locust and North Main.
  • Commercial motor vehicle traffic traveling inbound on 4 Seasons Blvd (US-64) will be rerouted via Duncan Hill/Signal Hill to reach Asheville Hwy (US-25) or Dana/Tracy Grove for southside connections.
  • Immediately before the parade, South Main Street will close for the parade unloading area. 

4th of July Celebration Street Closure: 

After the parade ends, the street will remain closed from 3rd Avenue to Caswell for set-up of afternoon festivities, and will remain closed until after fireworks have concluded. The full list of events can be found at https://www.hendersoncountync.gov/recreation/page/america-250  

Hendersonville Farmers Market Information: 

On Friday, July 3, Maple Street will be closed from 2:00 PM – 9:00 PM for a special Friday Evening farmers market from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM. No parking will be allowed on Maple Street after 2:00 PM on Friday, July 3 for vendor load in and event setup.  

The Hendersonville Farmers Market will not take place on Maple Street on Saturday, July 4. Maple Street will be open for through-traffic.
