Hendersonville Spring Litter Sweep
About the event
We will be cleaning up a section of Mud Creek.
Come out and help us clean-up the flood plane and creek!
What will volunteers do?
We will have some volunteers with canoes and may be wading and waking the canoes picking up trash and paddling through deep spots. We will also have some volunteers doing trash pick up along the streets and creek bank.
Asheville GreenWorks will bring all the equipment needed for the clean-up.
What will volunteers need to bring or wear?
Quick Dry/Athletic T-shirt or Long sleeve
Quick Dry/Athletic shorts - No Cotton!
Swimsuits or synthetic underwear - to wear under the shirt and shorts.
OLD pair of sneakers or river shoes - to wear while walking in the water. IMPORTANT - Flip flops, slides, or bare feet are not permitted for our cleanups.
Hat or visor
Sunglasses
What else to bring:
Sunscreen
Towel
Change of clothes for the ride home
