Parking Deck Grand Opening!

Hendersonville City Council invites you to join them for the Hendersonville Parking Deck Grand Opening Ceremony on Wednesday, March 1, 2023, at 1:00 PM at 415. N. Church Street. A ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place on the top level of the parking deck with remarks from Mayor Barbara Volk. Free parking will be available to attendees on the lower levels of the deck.

The parking deck will be opening March 1st with paid parking starting March 3rd after the parking ordinance goes into effect. The metered on-street parking, paid hourly parking in the surface lots and paid parking in the deck will go live on March 3rd at 4:00 am. Changes to the rates and system allow visitors and those taking advantage of prime downtown parking options to fund parking infrastructure for the growing community of Hendersonville.

253 new spaces in the Parking Deck
$1.50 per hour. Fees are charged in one-hour increments. Parking for less than one hour is free. This grace period allows quick stops downtown. If visitors exceed one hour in the deck, the full parking duration amount will be charged. Daily maximum: $10.00 (day resets at 4 AM) Lost ticket fee: $20.00. Enforced 24-7-365. Pay by ParkMobile App, credit card from your vehicle when exiting, or pay by credit card or cash at the walk-up kiosk before returning to your vehicle.
On-street meters return to Downtown
$2.00 per hour. Fees are charged in one-hour increments. 5 hour maximum for each parking session. Paid parking is enforced Monday - Saturday from 9 AM - 7 PM. Parking for less than 30 minutes is free. This grace period allows quick stops downtown. If visitors exceed 30 minutes, the full hour amount will be charged. Pay via ParkMobile app or at a nearby parking kiosk. App & kiosks are pay-by-plate so you’ll need to have your plate number when checking in.
Meters in City parking lots turned back on March 1st
$1.50 per hour. Fees are charged in one-hour increments. Daily maximum: $10.00. Paid parking is enforced Monday - Saturday from 9 AM - 7 PM. Free on Sundays and City holidays. Parking for less than one hour is free. This grace period allows quick stops downtown. If visitors exceed one hour in a City parking lot, the full parking duration amount will be charged. Pay via ParkMobile app or at the parking kiosk in the parking lot. App & kiosks are pay-by-plate so you’ll need to have your plate number when checking in.
Avoid a citation
Parking Services will be working to educate the community on the updates and taking a warning-first approach.
ALWAYS check in via ParkMobile app or kiosk when you first arrive to park. (Even if you only plan on staying a short time.)
No backing into parking spaces.
If parking in a handicapped space, ensure the placard is displayed and clearly visible. No time limits exist at handicapped spaces, but spaces will be metered starting March 1.
Parking Permits
New parking permits take effect on March 1st. Community members who did not RSVP for a parking permit or do not receive a permit will be able to apply/sign up for the waitlist on March 2nd at https://www.hendersonvillenc.gov/parking/parking-permits.
