Main Street to light up for the holidays on Black Friday with Santa, carriage rides and live holiday music

Downtown Hendersonville will light up with holiday cheer at the annual Holiday Tree Lighting event on Friday, November 26 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m.

All are welcome to gather on the Historic Courthouse Plaza to sing Christmas carols, sip hot cocoa and watch for the man in red. Kick off Small Business Saturday early by visiting your favorite downtown merchants! Once Santa arrives, he will flip the switch to illuminate the tree on the plaza and the lights along Main Street.

Live music from Lewendahl will begin at 5:15 p.m. and end shortly after Santa’s arrival.

Santa will arrive at 6 p.m. and turn on the holiday lights. Afterwards kids can visit with Santa outdoors on the plaza until 8 p.m. Free carriage rides will be provided by Carolina Horse and Carriage until 8 p.m.

Hot cocoa will be available for purchase from Black Bear Coffee Co. throughout the event.
