Home Repair Assistance Program

The City of Hendersonville is accepting applications from eligible homeowners for critical home repair and accessibility improvements through the North Carolina Neighborhood Revitalization (NC Neighborhood) Program.
Funded by a grant from the NC Department of Commerce, this program will assist qualifying households in making essential repairs to address threats to health or safety or to install accessibility modifications that help prevent displacement.
To qualify, applicants must:
- Own and occupy a home within Hendersonville city limits with no more than a first mortgage
- Meet income requirements (earning less than 80% of the area median income)
- Have repair needs not covered by other assistance programs
Priority is given to households with elderly or disabled members, veterans, large families, and those with extremely low incomes.
Assistance is provided as a forgivable, interest-free loan, with all construction performed by licensed professionals.
Interested residents should contact Stefanie Kompathoum, Home Repair Coordinator, at (828) 692-4744 ext. 107 or stefanie@housing-assistance.com for more information or to begin the application process.
