Hendersonville Farmers Market to Celebrate Pollinators on June 4 

HENDERSONVILLE, NC – On Saturday, June 4, Hendersonville Farmers Market will celebrate pollinators with activities and learning experiences for the whole family. The event will take place at the same location and time as the regular market at 650 Maple Street from 8am until 1pm. Customers can expect to have access to all the locally made products from regular season vendors in addition to pollinator-related booths. Pick up a Pollinator Day passport to fill out and win a prize! 

 Pollinator Day will feature: 

Hendersonville Bee City USA 

This booth will engage visitors with learning experiences about the importance of pollinators. 

 Walking Tours of the Beeline Mural 

At the end of the depot near the live music is where the Beeline Mural begins! Muralist Elizabeth Queen will be leading walking tours of this remarkable pollinator-inspired sidewalk mural throughout the market day.  

 Cooking Demo with Launa Tierney of Homemade Pasta Noodles 

Visit the Cooking Demo booth from 10-11am for a pasta recipe demo using market ingredients!  

 Kids’ Corner: Arts Council craft + Kid Yoga with Yoga and Massage 

Visit the Kids’ Corner to make a take-home craft with the Arts Council. Visit at 10 or 10:30am for free 20-minute kids’ yoga classes with YAM. Mats will be provided. 

 Observation Hive with Honeybee Bliss 

Regular market vendor Honeybee Bliss will be bringing the queen and her bees out to play! Visitors can see the working hive up close and see if they can spot the queen. 

 Greenworks Display 

Learn about sustainability and waste management, and how your trash relates to the health of pollinators at the Greenworks booth. 

 ...And more! The market will have a variety of vendors selling pollinator-friendly plants and products.
