Edwards Park and Mini Golf Grand Opening

The City of Hendersonville is thrilled to announce the grand opening of the Laura E. Corn Mini Golf Course at Edwards Park, an exciting addition to Hendersonville’s park and greenspace amenities. The community is invited to join the Hendersonville City Council for the Grand Opening Ceremony on Thursday, October 19, 2023, at 4:00 PM at Edwards Park, located at 904 N. Main Street in Hendersonville.

Named in honor of Laura E. Corn, a beloved longtime member of the mini golf staff and a cherished community figure, this 18-hole mini golf course promises fun and excitement for all ages. The ADA-accessible course is designed for everyone to enjoy. It features challenging holes and themed elements showcasing the rich history and attractions of Hendersonville, Henderson County, and neighboring communities.

The grand opening event will be a celebration of the community members who have collaborated to create an experience that is unique to Hendersonville. Local artists, craftspeople, and partnering organizations will be in attendance to celebrate their work and tee off the first round of many mini golf seasons at Edwards Park.

Grand opening parking:

  • Locust Street from N. Main to Laurel St. will be closed on Thursday, October 19 starting at 3:30 PM until 6:30 PM for event attendee parking. (No general on-street parking will be allowed after 6:00 AM in that section of Locust on Thursday.)
  • Additional on-street parking is available in the surrounding areas. We encourage event attendees to carpool!
  • Following the completion of the VFW renovation, additional parking will be available in the VFW lot in partnership with Henderson County for future seasons of Laura E. Corn Mini Golf!

In addition to the mini golf course, Edwards Park boasts several other amenities for the community's enjoyment, including a playground as well as a concession stand offering putters, balls, snacks, and drinks during mini golf operating hours. Cyclists will also appreciate the bike corral, complete with bike racks, a repair station, and a bike pump, made possible through a donation from the Blue Ridge Bicycle Club. Those exploring the park will also discover interactive musical features, made possible through generous sponsorship by the Shipman family, whose patriarch has a rich history with mini golf in Hendersonville.

The City of Hendersonville looks forward to sharing the reimagination of the Laura E. Corn Mini Golf Course and the reopening of Edwards Park with the community.
