Drinking Water Week - There When You Need It

Hendersonville Water and Sewer kicks off Drinking Water Week, celebrates tap water being “there when you need it!”

Hendersonville Water and Sewer is pleased to once again join the American Water Works Association and utilities across North America in celebrating Drinking Water Week!

This year’s theme is “There When You Need It,” which highlights the various ways that our customers rely on the high-quality tap water we provide every day.

“Whether it is for health, hygiene or hydration, our tap water plays an absolutely vital role in our daily life,” said American Water Works Association CEO David LaFrance. “Our water infrastructure does its part to ensure tap water is there when you need it for drinking, cooking or hygiene.”

A unique opportunity to recognize the hardworking people who ensure that water is always there when you turn on the faucet, Drinking Water Week is a reminder of the importance of maintaining and upgrading this infrastructure in our community.

“From engineers designing capital projects to operators monitoring water quality to repair crews fixing line breaks, our staff works around the clock to serve you,” said Lee Smith, Utilities Director.
