Neighborhood Compatibility Meeting - Cascades Redevelopment

The City of Hendersonville is in receipt of an application for a Conditional Zoning District from Cox Universal Group to rezone approximately 6.24 acres at 201 Sugarloaf Rd (PIN 9579-56-1085) from C-3, Highway Business/CHMU, Commercial Highway Mixed Use to Urban Village Conditional Zoning District. The proposed redevelopment is for demolition of existing structures and construction of a 5-story multi-family residential building consisting of 113 dwelling units and a 5-story hotel consisting of 114 guest rooms.
As required, the project is subject to a Neighborhood Compatibility Meeting (NCM) where the applicant, community members, and City staff can discuss the proposed development.
This Neighborhood Compatibility Meeting has been scheduled as follows:
Date: August 14, 2026
Time: 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. (meeting will conclude after 1.5 hours)
Location: City Hall - 2nd Floor Conference Room
Address: 160 6th Ave E
The meeting will focus on compatibility concerns only.
