‘Rooftop Cops’ Event to Benefit Henderson County Special Olympics

On May 13, 2022, the Hendersonville Police Department will be at the top of the world, or at least at the top of a Chick-fil-A building, raising money to benefit Henderson County Special Olympics. From 8:00 am to 6:00 pm Hendersonville Police Officers will be on the rooftop of Chick-fil-A at 52 Highlands Square Drive. During those twelve hours, the community is invited to drive through the parking lot and drop off donations for the local Special Olympics program.

The mission of Special Olympics is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Donations received at the Rooftop Cops event will help ensure the athletes that participate with Special Olympics have the funds they need.

For questions about the event, contact Sgt. Gardin with the Hendersonville Police Department at ggardin@hvlnc.gov.
