It's Pollinator Day at Hendersonville Farmers Market!

You’ll find the regular bountiful harvest from all the market vendors plus some special treats to celebrate pollinators (all those amazing creatures that visit flowering plants and help them reproduce).

Pollination truly is responsible for the beauty and abundance of the plant world. What better way to spend the day than appreciating the people and pollinators working together to produce the splendid flowers and fruits that feed us in so many ways?!  Visit Hendersonville Bee City USA’s booth to pick up free packets of pollinator-friendly seeds (while supplies last) as well as tips for planting gardens to provide healthy habitats for bees, butterflies, hummingbirds and other pollinators.

Kids are invited make their own pair of bee, butterfly or other pollinator antennae then set off on a scavenger hunt to find as many local foods produced with the help of pollinators as they can. Fun prizes will be awarded to all scavenger hunt foragers!  Plus, shop for a plethora of pollinator-attracting plants, local honey, eco-friendly gear, and other items to Bee Green, Bee Delicious, Bee Sustainable, and Bee Awesome! Proceeds from sales at the Bee City USA booth will benefit the "Bring the Hive Alive!" initiative paint a bee mural on the exterior wall of Hands On! Children’s Museum in the heart of downtown Hendersonville.
