Dinner and a Show… at Home Week 3: May 8, 2020

The Downtown Hendersonville program is teaming up with the Arts Council of Henderson County and local restaurants to give everyone a downtown experience while maintaining a safe social distance!

The Arts Council of Henderson County launched the virtual open mic night on March 27 and has been going strong every Friday from 7-8pm on Facebook Live. To further the collaboration, the Arts Council and Downtown Program partnered up to support local restaurants and local artists each week.

This week's featured businesses are Moe's BBQ and Wine Sage & Gourmet. Order takeout and drinks from these featured businesses, along with the many more food and beverage businesses offering takeout, delivery and curbside pickup downtown

Moe's BBQ offers a great carryout menu, easy to bring home:

Henderson County Virtual Open Mic Night:

Each Friday at 7 PM, on the Arts Council of Henderson County Facebook page, artists are given a platform to share their work, collect virtual tips, and gain new followers/fans. This community event was created to help bring joy to the residents of Henderson County during the Stay At Home order and give artists an opportunity to do what they do best. The event has evolved from a couple of artists prerecorded to multiple performers, free advertisements to local businesses, a live stream event, and now dinner and drinks. We encourage you to grab your favorite local beer, share the video, and start a watch party. If you have a dollar or two to spare for a local artist, that would be appreciated; if not, this event is here to help you through this tough time. We will be together again soon but until then the Virtual Open Mic night is here to keep our community together while we are apart.
