Street Dances presents Blue Ridge Tradition
Monday, July 26, 2021
Free
The Street Dance on July 26th & August 23rd features Blue Ridge Tradition playing a unique mix of traditional and not-so-traditional bluegrass music. They perform crowd-favorites such as “Rocky Top,” “Salty Dog,” “Tennessee Waltz,” and “John Henry.” The band incorporates some great original songs in their shows. They’re not afraid to include crossover material from artists such as Hank Williams, Bob Dylan Chuck Berry, and others into their well-defined, classic sound.
Southern Connection Cloggers are a local group, based in Hendersonville, NC. The team is under the direction of Certified Judge and Certified Clogging Instructor, Chip Summey.
The Street Dances call people of all ages to downtown Hendersonville to enjoy toe-tapping-good mountain music, as the evening features traditional mountain and bluegrass music performed by a live band, square dancing and special appearances by area clogging teams. Music plays from 7-9 pm in the Visitor Center parking lot, weather permitting. This event is free, the parking area opens at 5:30 pm, bring a chair, early admission is prohibited. No coolers, alcoholic beverages, backpacks, or dogs allowed in the event area.
This year’s concert sponsors include Burger King, Kathy Watkins of Preferred Realty, Firehouse Subs & the Henderson County Tourism Development Authority.
