How We Became Spicer Greene Jewelers The story of Spicer Greene Jewelers is one of opportunity and passion. In 1926 E.O. Wick, with a desire to escape the hectic New York lifestyle where he worked with Tiffany & Co., moved to Asheville and opened a small jewelry repair shop on Wall Street. His skills as an expert enamellist, hand engraver, and jeweler served him well. So well, he was able to take on an apprentice, Paul Greene, in 1942. Paul eagerly worked alongside Mr. Wick, learning the business and the art of creating one-of- a-kind custom jewelry. In 1948 Paul married Lucia Brown and she joined the business as well. In 1953, Paul became a full partner in the jewelry store and Wick and Greene was born.

As of Monday, June 16, we’ve officially opened Teens on Main, our brand-new teen center in the heart of downtown Hendersonville, right where the Main Event used to be. This came about as a temporary solution to a larger than average waitlist for summer, which is typically our busiest time of the year. It all started just a few weeks ago when one of our Club founders, Tom Fazio, heard that nearly 300 kids were stuck on our summer waitlist. In response he offered the old Main Event space so we could serve more youth right away. Now, with Teens on Main (or TOM, as we like to call it) up and running, we have nearly 800 youth registered this summer, which is double what we’ve ever served before. Each day, 80 to 120 teens will have a designated space to learn, lead, grow, and make memories together. We’re so grateful to have some incredible folks standing by our side as we give our youth great summer experiences. *Opened June 2025*
