Stopping Water & Sewer Service
If you are moving, you may visit the Customer Service Team at 160 Sixth Avenue East to stop your utility service with the City of Hendersonville. Please visit or file an online disconnection request at least two (2) business days prior to the requested service stop date to ensure that we have adequate time to process your service request. We do not provide same day service. You may file a service disconnection request through our online Service Disconnection Request Form. In all cases, please be prepared to provide a valid forwarding address for final billing and correspondence purposes.
Please note, if you are going to be transferring utility service with the City, you are required to pay the remaining balance on the old account prior to starting service at the new address.
If you are attempting to stop your service for a leak, please contact the Water and Sewer Dispatch at (828) 697-3073 during regular business hours (Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm). After regular business hours, please call (828) 891-7779 for leak-related disconnection issues. Please note, leak-related disconnections do not inactivate your billing account because they are temporary and for the purposes of making leak-related repairs. Only the Customer Service Team can close your billing account.
