Planning & Design
In Spring of 2023, the City of Hendersonville was awarded funding through grants from the NC Land and Water fund and NC Division of Water Infrastructure to complete the design and construction of Phase 1 of the Lower Mud Creek Floodplain Restoration project. In the Fall of 2023, Wildlands Engineering was selected to complete a professional engineering and design assessment for the restoration project. In December of 2024, all of the plans and specifications for the floodplain restoration project have been accepted and approved by the NC DWI and a contractor will be selected to begin construction of the project by early Spring of 2025.
