The City of Hendersonville is establishing a Community Advisory Committee to help strengthen transparency, communication, and community engagement.
Purpose
The purpose of the Committee is to serve as a connection between the city and the people who call Hendersonville home, providing input and guidance on how the city shares information, engages residents, and creates opportunities for community input. The committee will also help make City government more accessible by helping residents better understand how their local government works and how they can participate in decisions that affect their community. The Council desires to hear advice and receive recommendations from the Committee. This committee will meet quarterly with special-called meetings as issues arise.
Membership & Terms
The Community Advisory Committee consists of seven (7) members; at least four (4) city residents and three (3) at-large residents. All members serve three-year staggered terms which expire June 30.
Meetings
Meetings will be held quarterly, and the committee will adopt a regular meeting schedule showing the dates, times and places of its regular meetings for the year. Meeting dates/times are still TBD.
