BonaFide Soul Closes Out 2025 Rhythm & Brews Series on October 16 

HENDERSONVILLE, NC, October 2, 2025 – The Rhythm & Brews concert series, presented by Horizon Heating & Air, will cap off its 2025 season on Thursday, October 16, in downtown Hendersonville. Taking the stage as the finale headliner is BonaFide Soul, with the Congdon Griffin Band setting the tone as the opening act. 

Headliner:  BonaFide Soul has a truly retro feel in the best of ways with a seven-piece band that brings the sound and feel of classic 70’s funk and soul. Lead singer, Paula Harris, is an internationally acclaimed powerhouse on vocals with bassist Mike Frost laying down grooves that will get fingers snapping and toes tapping. Think Silk Sonic meets Chaka Khan. 

Opening Act: The Congdon Griffin Band features the original songs of Eric Congdon and Hope Griffin. They combine notes of Southern Rock, Blues and Folk/Americana.  Both are award winning musicians from Western North Carolina. Featuring beautiful vocals, soaring harmonies and searing musicianship. 

Opening acts will kick off each evening at 5:30 p.m. followed by the headliner performance from around 7:30-9:30 p.m. Doors open at 5:15 p.m. 

For the little ones, the Hendersonville Honeycrisps and Hendersonville Toy Company present a Kid Zone filled with family-friendly fun. Adults can enjoy the event’s fully integrated craft beverage garden featuring offerings from Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. (including non-alcoholic options), Bold Rock Cider, Guidon Brewing Co., Oklawaha Brewing Co., Dry Falls Brewery, Saint Paul Mountain Vineyards, and Flat Rock Cider Company.  

Please leave your pets and coolers at home. Chairs are allowed on the Wells Fargo side of the event near the Kids Zone. There are several free and paid parking options available near the show, with the closest paid parking in the private lot at Barnwell and Main (access only from King Street), and free on-street parking outside of Church and King Streets.

All net proceeds from adult beverage sales will benefit the Friends of Downtown Hendersonville 501c3 nonprofit, whose mission is to identify, preserve and enhance the authentic small town urban character of Historic Downtown Hendersonville.
