Get ready for a night of Halloween excitement as Henderson County Parks and Recreation, in partnership with the Friends of Downtown Hendersonville, presents the annual Treat Street Carnival. This beloved community celebration will take place on Halloween night, Saturday, October 31, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. along Main Street. This family-friendly event invites costumed characters of all ages to enjoy an evening filled with festive fun, spooky surprises, and engaging entertainment. From ghoulish treats to thrilling activities, Treat Street Carnival promises a spirited night the whole community will enjoy.
Trick-or-treating begins at 2 p.m. along Main Street, from Allen Street to Sixth Avenue. Community organizations, local businesses, and contributor booths will line the street, and many downtown merchants will hand out candy and treats at their storefronts.
Treat Street will include a costume contest and Monster Mash dance party by Sound Extreme DJ. A variety of inflatables, kids’ activities and plenty of spooky fun will be provided by Kids Zone sponsor, Biltmore Church.
The costume contest and Monster Mash will be in the 100 block in front of the Historic Courthouse between First and Second avenues along Main Street. The costume contest will begin at 3:00 p.m.
Guests are encouraged to don their best costumes for a chance to win exciting prizes in our annual costume contest. Costume contest registration begins at 2 p.m. at the courthouse square. Judging includes age categories for infants to age 3, 4 to 7, 8 to 11, 12 to 15, 16-plus, family/group and a pet category. Judging will start at 3 p.m., with the pet category first to be judged.
