Train Day

Celebrate Train Day at the historic 7th Ave Train Depot. We will have a Blue Ridge Southern locomotive with crew and other activities for everyone. See the miniature trains depicting railroading in Western North Carolina in the 1950's to 1960's era.

There is a large scale train layout outside depicting mining and forestry operations in Western North Carolina in the early 1900s. The Thomas the tank engine layout is a hands on experience for kids. Admission is free, donations are always welcome.
