The Police Department returned its offices to the original location in late 2004 after an extensive renovation of City Hall on Fifth Avenue. The Police Department had been located in a building on Sixth Avenue until then, where it operated since the early seventies.
The Police Department occupies the majority of two of four floors at City Hall, including offices for administration, patrol, investigations, and support services, which includes the Police Dispatch Center.
Below are photos of the department facilities inside City Hall.
