Started in 1955 by Kiwanis and Cooperative Extension, Farm City Day brings the farm to the city with a petting zoo, antique and modern tractors, crafts demonstrations, etc. Farm City Day is on Saturday, October 6, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. New this year is the WTZQ Sponsored 'Local Artist Showcase Stage' with several popular local bands playing (Further to Fly, Carolina Bound, and Letters to Abigail). Dr. Beverly Hargus is putting on a new and improved petting zoo that the kids will love!

Local Artist Showcase Stage

The Local Artist Showcase is the premier, local music radio show in Henderson County. Thousands of people tune in every Friday afternoon to listen to great local bands and musicians with host David Vaughn at 5 p.m. on WTZQ Radio. This year, WTZQ Radio, David Vaughn, and the Local Artist Showcase show is sponsoring the main stage at Farm City Day.
