Downtown Street Lighting & Santa’s Arrival

The lighting of downtown holiday lights and Santa’s arrival kick off the holiday season in Downtown Hendersonville.  The evening features entertainment, sing-along, hot chocolate and a visit from Santa Claus at the Historic Courthouse on Main Street.

November 25 – December 22
Flat Rock Playhouse Mainstage presents:  “The Flat Rock Playhouse Christmas Spectacular”
Wednesdays, 2 pm & 7:30pm, Thursdays 2pm & 7:30pm, Fridays 8pm, Saturdays 2pm & 8pm, Sundays 2pm
Haul in the holly and deck the halls!  This original musical revue performed by your favorite Flat Rock Playhouse singers and dancers is sure to be brimming with holiday cheer.  Celebrate the holidays Vagabonds style!

November 30 – December 17
Flat Rock Playhouse Downtown presents: “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever”

Thursday and Friday 7pm, Saturday 1pm,. and 5pm, Sunday 2pm
This holiday classic tale tells the story of a couple struggling to put on the annual Christmas pageant.  When the troubled Herdman children join the cast, the town discovers the true meaning of Christmas.

Hendersonville Christmas Parade

A traditional hometown Christmas parade travels along Main Street from Five Points to Caswell Street. Sponsored by the Hendersonville Merchants & Business Association.

Carriage Rides

6pm – 9pm
Enjoy the sights and sounds of the holidays from a horse drawn carriage ride. Take a magical ride through Historic Downtown Hendersonville among its twinkling lights and festive decorations. The serpentine street adds to the leisurely pace of the horse to slow down and savor the moment.

Holiday Tour of Historic Inns and Cookie Caper 

The Holiday Tour of Historic Inns and Cookie Caper is a self-guided tour of several of inns and the Cookie Caper part of the tour is a delicious Christmas treat from each inn.

December 19 – January 1
Iceless Skating Rink

Regular Hours: 11am-7pm, Christmas Eve 11am-3pm, Christmas Day 12Noon-4pm, New Year’s Eve 11am-5pm, and New Year’s Day from 12Noonpm-4pm
Enjoy ice-skating in Downtown Hendersonville this holiday season. The iceless rink is located at the Visitor Center on South Main Street. Skating offers endless family-friendly fun.The synthetic ice skating rink is made from special polymers so it can be enjoyed year-round in any temperature.
