Blue Ridge Now staff reports several document shredding events and drug take-back days are scheduled throughout the year locally by TRIAD Henderson County and its community partners.
During the events, a shred truck will be on site to provide free document shredding, according to a news release. This includes past tax records, bank records, medical documents, etc. This service is available only to residents of Henderson County.
Included in the events is a drug takeback, which is supported by the Sheriff’s Office and Hope Rx. Residents can bring any outdated and unwanted prescription and/or over-the-counter drugs.
This year's document shred and drug takeback events will be held:
10 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 21 at Entegra Bank (Spartanburg Highway)
10 a.m. to noon, May 20 at Flat Rock Village Town Hall
10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 18 at Mills River Town Center
10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 15 at United Community Bank (Etowah Branch)
