MountainTrue in partnership with community organizations including the City of Hendersonville Stormwater Program, GreenWorks, RiverLinkAmeriCorps Project Conserve, and Mills River Partnership is hosting the annual Henderson County Big Sweep event on Saturday, September 9.

NC Big Sweep is a county-wide litter cleanup program that brings citizens and community organizations together to clear trash from their waterways. The City of Hendersonville would like to put together a team to participate in this year’s Big Sweep event. This is a perfect opportunity to get outside with friends and family and pitch-in to make our city’s waterways cleaner and healthier!

The cleanup will occur between 9 am. – 1 pm. on September 9 in waterways throughout the City, followed up with an after party sponsored by Sierra Nevada Brewing.

If you would like to participate in this years Big Sweep please email Michael Huffman, call 828-697-3013, or follow this link for more information about the event and how to get involved!
